Packing and Shipping

When shipping off your storage media to our recovery lab it is crucial that your media is carefully handled and packed to avoid any additional damage during shipment.

Use plenty of foam or packing materials to prevent physical damage
Place or wrap the media inside an anti-static bag or ziplock bag if available
A box approximately twice the size of the media should be used with plenty of foam, bubble wrap, and or anti-shock material.

Packaging and Shipping Instructions

Step 1 - Remove or have a qualified technician remove the hard drive from your computer.

Step 2 - Place the drive in an anti-static bag or ziplock bag to avoid possible further damage from static electricity.
Step 3 - Package the drive with at least 2-3 inches of packing on all sides. We recommend using foam, bubble wrap or newspapers to help avoid shock or shifting during shipping.

Step 4 - Fill out and include the paperwork or any RMA number provided by our support staff. Be sure to print clearly both inside and outside of the box.

Once packed and labeled, arrange to have it shipped to:

Please contact us if you have special shipping requirements or if you need additional shipping instructions. You will be notified upon us receiving the drive to confirm its arrival. A service technician will evaluate the drive and notify you of any findings.
